Went to Cades Cove, TN for 6 days (boon-docking). Stayed at the Cades Cove Campground at the section where generator s are allowed between 8AM-8PM. Didn’t use it too much as we have a 280Ah LifePo4 battery in the Flagstaff. Only used it when it was time to charge the battery, which don’t take long, with the converter pushing 55 A charge current, and 2×200 W solar.
We’ve been here before, but first time bringing the rig up here. Wednesdays are bicycle (and bikes) on the Cades Cove loop road. so we decided to take the lectrics off the rack, and go for a spin. Not a car in sight all day. There is a lot of wildlife on the loop, everything from bears to deer to turkeys and other critters.
Decided to go for a carry ride with a horse called Amy. Nice, relaxing rise for sure.
If you haven’t been up there before, it is really worth taking the trip.
