Camping at Cheraw State Park

Decided to take the RV to Cheraw State Park. This is one of our favorite places to camp. Not a big campground, but very quiet. Nice boardwalk to the other side of the lake. All sites have electric, mostly 30 Amp, a couple of them have 50 Amp. No sewer, but there is a dump station for you to use on the way out.

Decided to head up to the NC mountains. Destination Boone KOA. Eventless trip up along 421. No issues.

The Boone KOA is a very busy campground. Unfortunately, the sites are small for a decent size rig, and they are packed together like sardines. Had to get creative to get the rig back out on Sunday.

Don’t think we will be headed up there again anytime soon. There are other campgrounds in the Boone area that are better choices than this.
