9/27/07 - 10/1/07: Riding along the North carolina Coast We had a very nice riding/camping trip along the NC coast from about Southport along the coast to Kill Devil Hills. Also had time to do some ferry hopping along the way. Nice trip, except the skeeters we encountered at some locations. |

10/30/05 - Ride for PAWS, Rockingham, NC 120 riders showed up to support Richmond CO animal shelter. We had a nice 60 mile ride from the shelter in Rockingham to Ellerbe Inn in Ellerbe, NC, where we had a good supper. |

10/03/05 - 10/04/05: Blue Ridge Parkway, NC Headed along Hwy 9 SC until we hit I26. From there up I26 to Hwy 25 south of Asheville, NC. Rode the Blue Ridge Parkway starting from Hwy 25. Ended up in Marion, NC for a sleep-over before heading home to SC. Great trip. Very nice weather. The temp up on Mount Mitchell at about 1:00PM was around 59 degrees, and was clear up there, something that's very unusual. Most of the time, the fog lays thick around Mount Mitchell. |

06/10/05 - 06/17/05: South Carolina Scenic Highway 11 From Gaffney, SC to Westminster, SC - Helen, GA. SC Hwy 11 Scenic Highway, along the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountain. Beautiful ride. Had 2 friends with us on this ride, and we had a blast. Just off Hwy 11 are a few good bike roads too: 276 from Hwy 11 to Brevard, NC, 178 from Hwy 11 to Rosman, NC, 107 from Hwy 11 to Cashiers, NC and of course 28 from West Union, SC all the way to Deals Gap, NC. All nice motorcycle roads. |
